SculptureCenter maintains an image library of artists working in the field of contemporary sculpture and public art. SculptureCenter staff draws on the library when curating group exhibitions and makes the files available to curators, collectors and scholars interested in contemporary sculpture. Currently, the library includes documentation and information on over four hundred artists, and will eventually be searchable by keyword on our database.

Artists are welcome to submit their work for possible inclusion in exhibitions and/or the Image Library. All artist submissions will automatically be considered for the library. To submit, please download and complete the two-page Artist Submission Form, and mail with your materials. SculptureCenter does not currently accept unsolicited artist submissions by email. General slide reviews are held every 8-10 weeks, and artists may expect a response by mail within 12 weeks of your submission. (Please indicate if you prefer an email response.)

Updating an existing file
If your work is selected for inclusion in the image library, your materials will be held on file for a period of two years, at which time we will contact you to request an update on your work. Artists may choose to update or remove their file at any time. To update your file, send the updated material with a completed Artist Submission Form, indicating that the submission is an update to an existing file, and whether or not you would like the older materials returned. To remove your file from the library and our database, please contact us by phone (718 361 1750 x 113) or email (info@sculpture-center.org) to arrange pickup of your materials or to request their return by mail (SASE must be provided.)

Please be sure to notify us of any address or phone number changes. SculptureCenter staff will make every effort to contact artists whose files have been inactive for over two years; if this is not possible, the material will be returned or discarded.
