Considered one of the most important American artists working today, Kelley Walker challenges our preconceptions surrounding the distribution of information, both in mass media and the art world. His paintings and installations appropriate and subvert familiar images and ideas drawn from pop culture in an age of digital reproduction. He has exhibited extensively and was included in Grey Flags, 2006, at SculptureCenter and Collage: The Unmonumental Picture, 2008, at the New Museum of Contemporary Art.
