SculptureCenter is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:


Executive Intern
Works directly with the Executive Director to gain experience in all areas of the museum?s activities including curatorial, fundraising, board of trustee relations, external affairs, and general administration. Daily duties include curatorial research, correspondence, scheduling studio visits and other appointments, drafting letters, coordinating special events and donor trips, preparing meeting materials, and compiling slide lectures, among other things.

Curatorial + Exhibition Production Intern
Works directly with the Curator to help organize exhibitions and public programming. Daily duties include assisting with research, contributing to exhibition texts, administrative assistance, facilitating installation and de-installation, artist and gallery correspondence, and scheduling studio visits as well as other appointments. Candidates must have experience with online and library research. Editorial experience with both web and print based content is preferred.

Development + Press Intern
- Works closely with the Development Associate on short and long-term projects including grant writing, press outreach, fundraising, and sponsorship. Projects include grant preparation, press documentation, research, and administrative assistance. This internship is ideal for a candidate seeking a better knowledge of non-profit fundraising, marketing, and press relations.

Museum Operations Intern
- Assists the Operations Manager and Web Producer in editing web content, archiving, systems administration, and overseeing general museum day-to-day needs. Responsibilities also include database management, Photoshop image retouching, social media promotion, and some event planning. Candidates do not need prior museum or gallery experience but should have strong administrative and organizational skills.


Requirements for all positions include:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A demonstrable knowledge of contemporary art
- Must be comfortable with Mac platforms and preferably experienced with MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
-Previous gallery, non-profit, and/or museum experience is helpful though not required
